Love Paws: A Snow Leopard For Dating.

KATHMANDU, NEPAL — Studies show that a high percentage of online dating encounters end in disappointment, usually because of exaggerated profiles, outdated photos, suspicious hobbies, or the phrase “entrepreneurial mindset.”

But every so often, bliss is only a click away.

The Funny Newz has learned the heartwarming story of Love Paws, a special snow leopard whose online profile has women across the internet swooning.

Love Paws previously described himself in the usual forgettable fashion as “a professional male looking for a casual to serious relationship.” As it turns out, that was not entirely accurate. He was not a tax accountant, software consultant, or emotionally unavailable marketing executive.

He was, in fact, an actual snow leopard.

After updating his profile to reflect his true identity, Love Paws saw his inbox explode.

Endangered, Available, and Surprisingly Attentive

“There’s something exciting about Love Paws being an endangered species,” said Chloe Parks, 33, of Newport Beach, California. “Most guys I meet online are total dweebs. But when I found out Love Paws was a real snow leopard, I was blown away.”

Parks says Love Paws is handsome, sensitive, mysterious, and far more attentive than many of the men she has met online.

“He remembers things,” Parks said. “My birthday, my favorite movies, when I’m having a bad day. Also, he sends paw-print emojis, which honestly feel more sincere than most men’s paragraphs.”

Parks admits her friends are jealous.

“They keep saying, ‘Chloe, he’s a snow leopard.’ And I’m like, yes, exactly. Finally, someone with depth.”

A Second Chance at Love

Love Paws created his first online dating profile in January 2005 after his first relationship ended badly. According to friends, his former partner, a mountain lioness, left him for another mountain lion — a close hunting companion with whom Love Paws had often shared rodents, boar, and vulnerable conversations under the moonlight.

“He took it hard,” said a local mountain goat who asked to remain anonymous because he still grazes in the area. “For months, he just sat on a cliff listening to power ballads and refreshing his inbox.”

For a while, Love Paws tried to pass as a human tax accountant, but the profile failed to gain traction.

“The photos were the problem,” the goat said. “He looked majestic, but not like someone who understood itemized deductions.”

Eventually, the mountain goat encouraged him to be honest.

“Just say you’re a lonely snow leopard looking for friendship, conversation, and maybe someone who appreciates high-altitude emotional availability,” the goat recalled telling him.

The advice worked.

Snow Leopard-Curious Internet Users Flock to Profile

Within days of updating his profile, Love Paws began receiving messages from across the United States.

Susan and Brad Glickman, owners of Swingers Coffee in Jacksonville, Florida, say they have become devoted fans of Love Paws’ online photo album.

“He’s captivating,” Susan said. “The snow, the eyes, the paws. It’s like a fragrance ad but colder.”

Brad agreed.

“I’m not threatened,” he said. “I mean, sure, he lives in the Himalayas, has piercing eyes, and can survive on a mountain ledge. But can he troubleshoot a commercial espresso machine? Probably not.”

The Glickmans say they spend hours chatting with Love Paws online, mostly about conservation, mountain weather, and whether he has ever considered launching a podcast.

Single Men Cry Foul

Not everyone is thrilled that exotic animals are entering the online dating pool.

Reginald Bunson, 36, a technical writer from Houston, Texas, says ordinary single men now have even less chance of standing out.

“What can I do?” Bunson asked. “He lives in the Himalayas. I live in my parents’ basement. He has a luxurious winter coat. I have a fleece hoodie from a company picnic in 1998.”

Bunson says the situation could become even worse if more rare animals join dating sites.

“First it’s a snow leopard,” he said. “Next thing you know, an ivory-billed woodpecker creates a profile, and that’s it for the rest of us. How am I supposed to compete with mystery, rarity, and wingspan?”

Dating experts say Bunson’s concerns are valid but manageable.

“Single men should not panic,” said relationship consultant Denise Farber. “They should simply update their profiles, use current photos, and avoid listing ‘watching TV angrily’ as a passion.”

Conservation Groups Confused but Supportive

Wildlife advocates have expressed mixed feelings about Love Paws’ sudden fame.

On one hand, they are pleased that millions of people are showing renewed interest in snow leopards. On the other, they are concerned that most of the interest seems to involve women asking whether Love Paws is “emotionally available” and “open to relocating.”

“This is not exactly the conservation awareness campaign we would have designed,” said one wildlife official. “But if it gets people to care about endangered species, we’ll take it.”

Love Paws, for his part, says he is enjoying the attention but remains grounded.

“I am looking for connection,” he wrote in a statement sent by paw-friendly keyboard. “Also salmon.”

Love Finds a Mountain

As for Parks, she says she and Love Paws are taking things slowly.

“We’re not rushing,” she said. “There are logistical challenges. Time zones. Climate. Species. Customs paperwork.”

Still, she remains optimistic.

“People judge what they don’t understand,” Parks said. “But Love Paws listens. He purrs when I talk about my day. And unlike most guys online, he was honest about being covered in fur.”

At press time, Bunson had reportedly updated his own dating profile to describe himself as “a rare basement-dwelling North American content mammal seeking warmth, snacks, and companionship.”

He has received two likes, both from bots.

Editor’s Note: The Funny Newz is satire. Please do not attempt to date snow leopards, mountain lions, ivory-billed woodpeckers, or any other endangered species. Do support legitimate wildlife conservation efforts, preferably without sending flirty DMs to large cats.
