Who knows? Perhaps poison is more palatable when it comes from someone who feels like family rather than an enemy.

Nonetheless, I hesitate to view Frank Lucas as a celebrated enterprising capitalist with strong values, despite some interpretations that may suggest otherwise. It’s true that he took his mother to church every Sunday, which implies that he had some redeeming qualities. After all, any man who does that can’t be entirely bad—can he? However, let's not romanticize or justify his actions. Regardless of any virtues he may have had, Frank Lucas was a criminal who caused harm and destruction with his drug empire. It’s important to remember this when discussing the film and its portrayal of real-life events.
